The Night Before

So, here we are, finalizing all the details for another big motorcycle adventure ... this time across the mountains of New Mexico.  Last time we did a big bike adventure like this, we crossed Utah/Moab ... also in May.  To our surprise, we ran into hot weather, snow, below freezing temperatures, rain, sand, mud, rocks, river crossings ... in the middle of stunning nature and scenic outlooks.  It was very hard, challenging ... but worth every bit.

As always before a trip like this, the questions begin.  Will we find similar conditions?  Will it be harder?  It is always a double edged sword to ride these type of roads with 800-pound motorcycles.   Very challenging. One mistake and your mojo and strength disappear very very fast.

The anticipation of a very real challenge is invigorating.  The reward of completing such a route is energizing.  And, spending time with friends and meeting new people all around is always interesting.

What new discoveries will we make on this journey?
