The Navajo and the Stars

Other than the cold, our first night camping was a success ... the brightness of the stars in remote places like this always amazes me.

Breakfast was interesting ... oatmeal, eggs, and a bunch of other weird things that were freeze dried and brought back to life with boiling water : )

After a great ride through the woods and mountains, made it to Alma to get gas and food because there is nothing available were we were heading ... so we got tuna, mayonnaise, ramen noodles, chips, bologna, bread ... amazing how quickly your standards go out the window when you are hungry.

The riding was amazing ... crossed the high desert were the Navajo are ... we stopped in a valley at 8,000 feet up in the high desert to have lunch and then on to the salt lake.

As rain closed in in the horizon, we de decided to continue to El Morro National Monument to camp.

Tomorrow we will be in Albuquerque.
